Pizza Calzones

(Makes 1 Serving) 2 thawed Rhodes dough balls 2 T pizza sauce 2 T grated pizza blend cheese 2-3 pepperoni

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F

  2. Knead the two rolls together and roll into a 7 inch circle.

  3. Add sauce to half of the circle being careful not to get it on the edges or it won't seal and will pop open during baking.

  4. Place grated cheese and pizza topping on 1/2 of the circle.

  5. Fold over and seal edges by crimping.

  6. Bake on greased cookie sheet for 20 minutes.

Easy Bread Sticks

1 Tbsp. yeast 1 1/2 cups warm water 2 Tbsp. sugar 1 1/2 tsp. salt 3 cups flour 1/2 cube butter Garlic salt Season salt Parsley

  1. Preheat oven to 375 F.

  2. In a medium mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water, add sugar, and salt.

  3. Add flour and knead or mix for 3 minutes.

  4. Let dough sit under bowl and rise for 10 minutes.

  5. Melt butter in 8x8 glass dish.

  6. Roll out dough about 1 1/2 inches thick.

  7. Cut dough into 1 1/2 inch strips.

  8. Roll in butter and place in pan. Sprinkle with garlic,or parsley, or season salt.

  9. Bake 15-20 minutes.

Alfredo

1 Tbs. margarine
1 clove garlic
1 Tbs. flour
1 cup milk
2 Tbs. cream cheese
1 1/2 cups cooked pasta
(pasta doubles when cooked)

  1. Fill a medium sauce pan half full with water. Bring to a boil, add uncooked noodles. Cook about 8-10 minutes, or until al dente. Drain noodles.
  2. Melt margarine over low heat.
  3. Mince garlic and saute 1 minute in melted margarine
  4. Stir in flour. Take off the heat, gradually add milk and stir with a wooden spoon until smooth.
  5. Cook stirring constantly until thick about 8 minutes on medium heat. (Don't scorch)
  6. Stir in cream cheese. Cook 2 minutes.
  7. Add Parmesan cheese and cook until melted.
  8. Serve over hot noodles.

Banana Bread - Lion House

This recipe comes from the Lion House Cookbook 1/2 cup margarine/butter 1 cup sugar 2 eggs 1 cup bananas, mashed 1/4 cup milk 1 tsp lemon juice 2 cups flour 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 cup chopped nuts, optional Preheat oven to 350 F. Cream sugar and margarine. Beat in egg. Add bananas, milk and lemon juice. Sift dry ingredients and add to wet mixture. Add nuts. Grease 1 loaf pan. Pour mix into pan and bake at 350 F for 1 hour.

Turnovers (Single Pie Crust)

1 cup flour 1/2 tsp salt 1/3 cup shortening 2/3 Tbsp ice water 2 Tbsp Pie Filling (your choice)

  1. Stir together flour and salt

  2. Cut in shortening using a pastry blender. cut in so the mixture looks like corn meal.

  3. Add water - sprinkling over crumb mixture a little at a time. Stir together with a fork.

  4. Form into a ball using your hands.

  5. Roll out into circles each 1/8th inch thick.

  6. Place 2 Tbsp of pie filling on half of each piece of dough

  7. Use a little water on the edge of the dough to help it stick together.

  8. Fold each circle in half. Press edges together with a fork and make a couple of slits on top.

  9. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake until light golden brown.

  10. Drizzle with icing
Bake 425 F for 20-25 minutes Icing - make a simple powdered sugar icing to drizzle over turnovers 1 Tbsp milk 1/2-1 cup powdered sugar
