Chicken Roll-ups

My mom made these a lot growing up and they have become one of my favorite meals.
Everyone likes them!

CHICKEN ROLL-UPS
2 pkg.  Pillsbury crescent rolls
4 oz. cream cheese
10- 12 chicken tenders
Italian bread crumbs

Boil chicken tenders and cut into small pieces.  Mix in softened cream cheese.  May need a little more.  Unroll the crescent rolls and put a big T of chicken filling on each roll and  seal the dough around it.  Roll each one into the bread crumbs and place on baking sheet.
Bake 375 for 20 min. or until browned.

Serve with sauce.   Melt 2 Tbsp. butter in small saucepan,  add 2Tbsp. flour.  Cook for a minute or 2,  Take off the heat and add all at once ½ cup chicken broth  and ½ cup milk.  Cook and stir until thick and smooth.  Add a little chicken bouillon to taste.

Pepper Steak

This is one of my favorite meals my mom made us....

Round or Sirloin Steak
onion flakes
green peppers cut into strips
4 Tbsp. Soy Sauce
3 cups water
1 tsp. sugar
Flour and water for thickening
tomatoes

Trim fat from meat.  Cut into small pieces across the grain.  Brown meat, onion, and green peppers. Add water, soy sauce, and about 1 tsp. sugar.  Bring to a boil, cover and simmer between 20-30 minutes.  Make a thickener with 1 cup water and 2 heaping Tbsp. flour.  Bring mixture to a boil and add thickener while stirring.  Cut 1 or 2 tomatoes into wedges, and place on top of sauce till warmed through. Serve over rice.
